Thomas has been a lawyer at the Antwerp Bar since September 2022. He focuses on business law and dispute resolution.
CredentialsIn 2021 Thomas participated as a member of the University of Antwerp' team in the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition (previously known as the ELSA Human Rights Moot Court Competition), an international advocacy competition with a focus on the European Convention on Human Rights.
He was awarded best defender in both the semi-finals and finals, and his team also won a general second place in this prestigious pleading contest.
EducationThomas received his Master's degree in Law cum laude from the University of Antwerp in 2021.
Moreover, in 2022, Thomas became the first of his orientation to graduate with a master's in international relations and diplomacy from the University of Antwerp, and magna cum laude, no less. The title of his thesis was “From Peace to Democracy? Peacebuilding in El Salvador and Rwanda” and it won the Global Research Prize, which is given by the Province of Antwerp.
