Eline Smeuninx focuses on the many facets of the law on healthcare, liability, and insurance. Eline advises healthcare institutions and healthcare providers on these aspects.

Eline has built up particular practical knowledge of hospital regulations, focusing on hospital financing and the status of hospital physicians. In addition, she advises on the application of classifications, and she assists healthcare providers in all types of procedures at the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (or RIZIV, the Dutch acronym for Rijksinstituut voor Ziekte- en Invaliditeitsverzekering).

Eline also handles cases regularly on the organization and recognition of professionals and practitioners in the healthcare sector, with an emphasis on the (clinical) psychologist profession. She has particular experience in the recognition and disciplinary procedures, such as the disciplinary proceedings at the Association of Physicians and the Psychology Commission.

Eline is also skilled in structuring cooperative relationships and partnerships within the healthcare sector, such as the contractual relationship between healthcare providers and healthcare institutions and the (interdisciplinary and) mutual cooperation between healthcare providers, and this under the landscape within the new companies and associations legal framework. In addition, she specialises in the regulations that govern the data protection, including health data protection in the EU, and e-health.
