Michiel obtained a Master of Laws Degree, cum laude, from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 2018. He spent his first year of his post-graduate studies at Université Paris V Descartes. In 2019, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Notarial Law, cum laude, from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

In the summer of 2016, Michiel completed a course on European corporate law and UK contract and corporate law at Oxford University.
