Recent Belgian case law has revived debate concerning the scope of a press offence. In a judgment of 11 February 2026, the Belgian Court of Cassation appears to adopt a more restrictive interpretation of that notion, suggesting that cyber harassment may, in many cases, fall outside the Court of Assize’s exclusive jurisdiction.
